Hidden Wall Leak Found Without Any Standing Water: St. Petersburg Home Saved From Disaster

St. Petersburg · January 2025 · 2:05 · 14K views

After returning from a trip, a St. Petersburg homeowner noticed their laundry room tile grout changing color and found damp clothes on the floor. When Jeremy and I arrived, we found only a small amount of water near the baseboard. However, using a FLIR infrared camera and an ultrasonic leak detector, we uncovered a surprising hidden issue, a significant leak inside the wall from a 1/2" copper pipe, constantly spraying water.

Fortunately, the homeowners were incredibly lucky, as there was minimal water damage despite the size of the leak. Watch as we cut into the wall to locate and expose the source of the leak, demonstrating the importance of early leak detection.
